Geological Paleontological Code Matching Method Based on Edit Distance Algorithm

Abstract

In the field of geology and paleontology, digital code matching is an important technology. It can effectively improve work efficiency and shorten retrieval time. In this paper, the method of geological paleontological code matching is studied by using the edit distance algorithm, in order to further improve the accuracy of paleontological code matching. In this paper, the matching of geological paleontological codes is studied by using experimental methods and data comparison. The experimental data show that the improved edit distance algorithm has a higher precision in paleontological code matching, which can reach 75%, but its results are not stable enough, so the algorithm needs to be further improved.
