Geodiversidade Ex Situ E Serviços Ecossistêmicos Associados Ao Patrimônio Construído Da Cidade Do Natal, Rio Grande Do Norte

Abstract

Resumo:A cidade do Natal, nordeste do Brasil, possui diversos exemplos de emprego de elementos da geodiversidade de forma ex situ, fora de seu local natural de ocorrência. Blocos de rochas ígneas, sedimentares e metamórficas foram utilizadas desde o século XVII em edificações, arruamentos, monumentos ou em obras de contenção da dinâmica costeira. A partir da finalidade de uso de cada um desses elementos, agrupou-se, neste trabalho, as principais obras em Natal que possuem o registro de uso da geodiversidade, com o objetivo de representar temporalmente as diferentes funções dos elementos abióticos no patrimônio construído da cidade. Foram estabelecidos os grupos histórico, construtivo e funcional. Esta definição também corresponde a diferentes serviços ecossistêmicos, de acordo com o conceito presente na literatura e observando, principalmente, a associação aos serviços de suporte, provisão e cultural. São apresentados os monumentos, edificações, arruamentos e obras civis mais importantes nas quais, ao longo de mais de quatro séculos, os elementos da geodiversidade ex situ possuem destaque, colaborando, assim, com a divulgação desse conhecimento e fornecendo justificativa de base para a proteção tantodo patrimônio construído, como do patrimônio natural a este associado.Palavras-chave: Geodiversidade, ex situ, Natal, serviços ecossistêmicosAbstract:EX SITU GEODIVERSITY AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTED HERITAGE OF NATAL TOWN, RIO GRANDE DO NORTE. The city of Natal, northeast of Brazil, has several examples of use of geodiversity’s elements in an ex situ way, out of its natural ocorrence place. Mainly, blocks of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks were used since the XVII century on buildings, streets, monuments or in works to contain the coastal dynamics. Based on the purpose of using each of these elements, the main construction works in Natal that have the register of use of geodiversity were grouped in order to temporarily represent the different functions of the abiotic elements in the built heritage of the city. The historical, constructive and functional groups were established. This definition also corresponds to different ecosystem services, according to the concept present in the literature and mainly observing the association with support, provision and cultural services. The most important monuments, buildings, streets and civil works in which the elements of ex situ geodiversity stand out for more than four centuries, thus collaborating with the dissemination of this knowledge and providing a basic justification for the protection both of the built heritage, as well as the associated natural heritage.Keywords: Geodiversity, ex situ, Natal, ecosystem services

Influence of migrating inhibitor concentration on corrosion resistance of steel reinforcement in concrete

“…By comparing the results for each mixture from Table 4, the concrete with 0.60% MCI stood out, because it presented the lower average values of absorption by immersion, 5.551%, and of voids, 12.594%, what avoided the chloride ions penetration; since these factors are directly related to the transport rate of aggressive agents into the concrete. According to Silva [34], the amine-based corrosion inhibitor can absorb part of the mixture's water or react in some way with the silicates present in the cement paste, reducing the absorption and voids.…”
