“…Widespread Early Paleozoic ages in the Qinling HP/ UHP belt Yang et al 2005) and Early Mesozoic ages in the Dabie-Sulu belt (Li et al 1993(Li et al , 2001Ames et al 1993) suggest that the Qinling-Dabie-Sulu orogen was formed by the Phanerozoic collision and subduction of the Yangtze craton along the southern margin of the North China craton (Fig. 1a).…”

“…The southern Dabie terrane is famous for coesite-bearing (Okay et al 1989;Wang et al 1989) and diamond-bearing eclogite (Xu et al 1992), as well as other ultra-high-pressure mineral assemblages indicating that the continental crust has been subducted down to depths of more than 100 km (Ernst and Liou 1999;Ye et al 2000;Zhang et al 2007). Generally, the Dabie Mountains can be subdivided into five metamorphic zones from north to south: (1) Beihuaiyang greenschist-amphibolite facies zone; (2) Huwan cold eclogite melange zone; (3) Dabie UHPM zone; and (5) Hong'an-Susong high-pressure metamorphic zone (Li et al 1993(Li et al , 2001 and references therein; Zhang et al 2007;Wang et al 2008). Adakite in the Dabie Mountains is distributed in Yunfengding, Egongbao, Fuziling (Wang et al 2007a), Tiantangzhai (Wang et al 2007a;Xu et al 2007), Chituling (Huang et al 2008), Shigujian, Duzunshan, Guanyinci, Daoshichong, etc.…”

“…The geological background has been extensively discussed in the literature [19][20][21][22]. Ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic (UHPM) rocks in the Dabie orogen contain abundance of coesite and diamond inclusions, suggesting that the north margin of South China Block was subducted to mantle depths greater than 200 km [23][24][25].…”
