“…The probable reason is the easy accessibility and affordability of tobacco, especially chewing tobacco makes it difficult to quit even if they are willing to. Although tobacco is prohibited in several areas of eastern India, it is widely available (Ruchita & Kisan, 2022). Tobacco cessation by self-quitting behavior is more among men than women except in West Bengal, depicting the need for more awareness engagement programs focused on women.…”
