Genotoxic Effect and Oxidative Damage in the Chicken Embryo Caused by Bisphenol A

Abstract: The present study aimed to evaluate the Bisphenol A (BPA) effect on chicken embryos. 240 fertilized eggs of Ross 308 were divided into eight groups (n=30 for each), including two control groups. Embryos were injected on day 2 with 100 µl of increasing concentrations of BPA then dissected on days 21-22. The livers were removed from the chicken to evaluate DNA damage (using the PCR technique) and oxidative stress biomarkers.
