Abstract: Yellow horn (Xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge) is a woody oilseed tree species whose seed oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and rare neuronic acids, which can be used as a high-grade edible oil or as a feedstock for biodiesel production.
