“…Thus, the ploidy level and the genetic homogeneity were maintained which is in line with Niazian et al ( 2017 ) observation, showing the genetic stability of regenerated plants in Carum copticum . Recently, similar genome size stability was reported in micropropagated plants of Gladiolus (Mujib et al 2017 ), Rauvolfia serpentina (Zafar et al 2019 ), Allium sativum (Malik et al 2020a ) and species of Zepheranthes (Syeed et al 2021 ). The alteration of genetic complement was however, reported in other investigated plants like Elaeis guineensis and Cucumis melo of tissue culture origin (Giorgetti et al 2011 ; Raji and Farajpore 2020 ).…”

“…In contrast, Park et al (2011) found that the embryogenic capacity and DNA content in the nucleus decreased during prolonged maintenance. In general, the genotype has to be carefully chosen because not all ETs grow well in culture (Montalban et al 2012;Zhang et al 2014;Malik et al 2020). In addition, whether the maturation of SEs is correlated with morphological development and intracellular communication has also been considered (Godel-Jedrychowska et al 2020).…”

“…Allium sativum L. is a fragrant herbaceous plant that grows up to 30 to 80cm tall (Sendl., 1995). A. sativum is thought to have evolved in Central Asia 600 years ago and has subsequently expanded over Southwest Asia and the Mediterranean (Malik et al, 2020). A. sativum was tested against larvae of Anopheles stephensi and the LC 50 values for hexane extract were 7.5 ppm after 24 hours and 7.6 ppm after 48 hours of exposure.…”
