Este texto não deveria ser um artigo. Também não chega a ser um texto experimental. Longe disso, é, digamos, o relato de uma investigação. Gestei-o após a resposta que recebi do professor Renan Quinalha numa dessas lives de quarentena, agora tão comuns em nosso dia a dia. Acredito que foi aquela realizada pelo projeto História em Quarentena. Como decidi publicá-lo, acrescentei algumas citações, revisitei a argumentação utilizada em minha dissertação. Evitei, imaginariamente, deixá-lo academicista. Penso num diálogo aberto que tento construir. O risco que corro – que sempre corremos – é o do dizer solitário. Monólogo espectral muito bem conhecido por nós, pesquisadores não-sudestinos ou não-sulistas. Vamos ao que importa. Sobre o que é este texto? Quinalha foi o primeiro pesquisador, que eu tenha conhecimento, a utilizar a expressão “ditadura hétero-militar” para se referir à heterogeneidade das políticas sexuais (e de gênero) adotadas, ou pelo menos, intensificadas durante o período da ditadura brasileira. Desde que defendeu sua tese, em 2017, Quinalha parece ter se tornado referência nacional obrigatória nos estudos de confluência entre “homossexualidades” e ditadura. Disso decorreu a popularização, tanto no meio acadêmico quanto na militância, do uso da noção. Ainda que alguns apresentem certa resistência, o conceito aparentemente “pegou”, como diria Althusser. É sobre as (im)pertinências teórico-epistemológicas dessa noção conceitual que quero argumentar.
