Abstract

ACKNOWLEDGMENTSIt is difficult to know what milestones may come our way as we move through life.I certainly could not have predicted the avenues of my education that I have ventured through during my studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. I have always appreciated the value of education, not only for the opportunities in life that it opens, but for the extension of knowledge it provides from one person to another. As many a person has said, there is no greater gift than the gift of knowledge. Many people have demonstrated the beauty behind these words throughout my life.
