Genetic variation of RNF145 gene and blood lipid levels in Xinjiang population, China

Abstract: Dyslipidemia is one of the main risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD). The E3 ubiquitin ligase which is encoded by the ring finger protein 145 (RNF145) gene is very important in the mediation of cholesterol synthesis and effectively treats hypercholesterolemia. Thus, the purpose of the present research is to investigate the connection between the polymorphism of the RNF145 gene and cholesterol levels in the populations in Xinjiang, China. A total of 1396 participants (Male: 628, Female: 768) were inclu… Show more

“…In Figure 6 (B), we summarize the BRIGHT-identified gene regions, providing only representative groups of the identified SNPs in each region. We note that genes, LINC01185 (Villarreal-Martínez et al, 2016), IL13 (Eder et al, 2011), TNIP1 (Bowes et al, 2011), RNF145 (Ming et al, 2021), genes in MHC region (Ozawa et al, 1988;Tiilikainen et al, 1980), TRAF3IP2 (Hüffmeier et al, 2010), TNFAIP3 (Tejasvi et al, 2012) and NOS2 (Garzorz and Eyerich, 2015), were previously reported with important contributions to the development of psoriasis.…”

“…This result is in accordance with research conducted in Xinjiang China that the average age of patients with heart disease is 34.12 years. 14 Adult age is a productive age to work, it is the period at which an increase in welfare begins. As a result, lifestyle changes occur, such as changes in eating habits.…”

“…Single nucleotide polymorphisms within RNF145's coding region in humans are associated with obesity and dyslipidemia while its differential expression in hepatocellular carcinoma affects disease progression. [74][75][76][77] RNF145's lipid-modulating effects are intimately linked to its ability to target lipid metabolic enzymes for degradation. [74,[78][79][80][81] Accordingly, RNF145's substrates include the ER-resident lipid hydrolase adiponectin receptor 2 (ADIPOR2) and the cholesterol biosynthetic enzyme HMGCR.…”
