Genetic Optimization-Based Consensus Control of Multi-Agent 6-DoF UAV System

Abstract: A consensus control law is proposed for a multi-agent system of quadrotors with leader–follower communication topology for three quadrotor agents. The genetic algorithm (GA) is the proposed optimization technique to tune the consensus control parameters. The complete nonlinear model is used without any further simplifications in the simulations, while simplification in the model is used to theoretically design the controller. Different case studies and tests are done (i.e., trajectory tracking formatio… Show more

“…Consensus and leader-following consensus algorithms are used to synchronize the MASs [13], [14]. Consensus algorithms are used to reach an agreement in relation to the states of the other agents [15]- [17]. On the other hand, leader-following consensus algorithms are considered when all the agents must follow a physical or virtual leader agent [18].…”

“…Researchers have modeled quadcopters using various types of structures and configurations (Wang et al, 2016;Alkamachi and Erçelebi, 2017;Najm et al, 2020). The most frequently used model is the cross configuration.…”
