“…Em algumas regiões, partes dessa planta são utilizadas na medicina popular (SANTOS et al, 2017a) principalmente como anti-hipertensivo, antidiabético, tratamento para obesidade, quimiopreventivo, anti-inflamatório e antioxidante. Muitos desses efeitos são constantemente demonstrados em pesquisas de diversos grupos (PEREIRA et al, 2015;SILVA et al, 2016).…”

“…The divergence data were compared with previous successful studies in individuals of the native population of Hancornia speciosa Gomes (Santos et al, 2017;Silva et al, 2017;Soares et al, 2016;Amorim et al, 2015;Costa et al, 2015;Jimenez et al, 2015;Silva et al, 2013) and BAGs Costa et al, 2011;Luz, 2016;Vitória, 2017), with the use of molecular markers.…”

“…The first fruiting occurred in 2013, and Silva et al (2015) identified accessions whose fruits had high vitamin C content (226.63 and 244.43 mg.100 g -1 FM) and evaluated the total polyphenols (from 88.81 to 148 mg.100g -1 ) and antioxidant activity (between 3.91 and 12.20 μM Trolox/g). In 2017, with a higher number of adult plants and in the fruiting stage, Santos et al (2017) observed accessions with vitamin C content greater than 400 mg/100 g -1 FM and suggested their use in future breeding programs of the species.…”
