Wheat genotypes should be improved through available germplasm genetic diversity to ensure food security. This study investigated the molecular diversity and population structure of a set of Türkiye bread wheat genotypes using 120 microsatellite markers. Based on the results, 651 polymorphic alleles were evaluated to determine genetic diversity and population structure. The number of alleles ranged from 2 to 19, with an average of 5.44 alleles per locus. Polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged from 0.031 to 0.915 with a mean of 0.43. In addition, the gene diversity index ranged from 0.03 to 0.92 with an average of 0.46. The expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.00 to 0.359 with a mean of 0.124. The unbiased expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.00 to 0.319 with an average of 0.112. The mean values of the number of effective alleles (Ne), genetic diversity of Nei (H) and Shannon’s information index (I) were estimated at 1.190, 1.049 and 0.168, respectively. The highest genetic diversity (GD) was estimated between genotypes G1 and G27. In the UPGMA dendrogram, the 63 genotypes were grouped into three clusters. The three main coordinates were able to explain 12.64, 6.38 and 4.90% of genetic diversity, respectively. AMOVA revealed diversity within populations at 78% and between populations at 22%. The current populations were found to be highly structured. Model-based cluster analyses classified the 63 genotypes studied into three subpopulations. The values of F-statistic (Fst) for the identified subpopulations were 0.253, 0.330 and 0.244, respectively. In addition, the expected values of heterozygosity (He) for these sub-populations were recorded as 0.45, 0.46 and 0.44, respectively. Therefore, SSR markers can be useful not only in genetic diversity and association analysis of wheat but also in its germplasm for various agronomic traits or mechanisms of tolerance to environmental stresses.

A field study was conducted during (November–April, 2017–2018) at CCSHAU, Hisar, Haryana, Indiaxxx to evaluate wheat genotypes for diversity analysis by multivariate and biplot analysis.xxx The morphological and agronomic attributes of wheat have been evaluated to measure genetic variation and their close relatives. Diversity analysis of bread wheat genotypes was deciphered by fifteen morphological traits utilizing multivariate hierarchical clustering technique and biplot analysis. Multivariate analyses have been applied to measure the diversity in wheat accessions and to evaluate the relative contributions of morphological traits to the total variability in a collection. Recent analyses enable accessions to be classified into clusters as per their similarity indexes. Good amount of variability had been observed for most of the traits. Maximum range was observed for flag leaf area and plant height. The positive correlation of the grain yield with various traits ensured indirect selection for yield can be done by selecting those characters. Significant positive correlation of grain yield exhibited with number of grains spike-1, thousands grain weight and plant height. Multivariate Hierarchical clustering technique by Ward’s method expressed three clusters with 20.4, 20.5 and 59.1% of total genotypes. The first principal component accounted for 29.4% with major traits number of tillers plant-1, flag leaf area, biological yield plant-1, grain yield plant-1, weight of grain ear-1, flag leaf length. The contribution of second was 15.7% with major six traits number of grains ear-1, ear weight, weight of grain ear-1, number of spikelet ear-1, grain yield plant-1 and number of tillers plant-1.

Естественные процессы развития и преобразования в живой природе рассматриваются в рамках различных эволюционных теорий. Однако для количественного описания изменений, наблюдаемых при реализации длительных селекционных программ, не предложено единого методического подхода. Для изучения механизмов селекции как эволюции, направляемой, по определению Н.И. Вавилова, волей человека, нами впервые предложен и применен метод исследования сдвигов генетико-статистических характеристик (ГСХ) во времени в совокупностях сортов мягкой яровой пшеницы (Triticum aestivum L.) по этапам сортосмен примерно за 80-летний период. В течение 8 лет (2005-2012 годы) в условиях северной лесостепи Западной Сибири (опытное поле НИИ сельского хозяйства Северного Зауралья, г. Тюмень, 57°09' с.ш., 65°32' в.д.) изучали 23 сорта мягкой яровой пшеницы, последовательно районированных с 1930-х годов. Все они в разное время успешно возделывались в Северном Зауралье. У всех изученных сортов были определены эффекты взаимодействия генотип-среда, изменяющие их ранги урожайности по годам испытаний, и другие ГСХ. Средняя урожайность сортов, районированных в 1940-х годах, в нашем испытании составила 20,2 ц/га и была принята за базовую. Для этих сортов характерна выраженная пластичность и гомеостатичность урожаев. Линии регрессии урожайности по экологическому ряду лет (от плохих условий к благоприятным) пологие (угол наклона от 31° до 39°). Первый районированный в регионе сорт Мильтурум 321 стабилен по урожайности зерна (дисперсия по S.A. Eberhart и W.F. Russell S 2 di = 3,5). В период 1950-1970 годов были районированы саратовские сорта и позднеспелый сорт сибирской селекции Мильтурум 553. Средняя урожайность в этой группе в наших испытаниях -23,4 ц/га, линии регрессии этих сортов на графике урожайность-качество лет (по условиям среды) идут выше линий для первой группы сортов с наклонами, сходными с таковыми у первой группы. Саратовские сорта, как и сорта первой группы, показывают гомеостатичность урожайности, но для них характерно полегание при урожайности выше 20-25 ц/га. В 1970-1990 годах в регионе получили распространение устойчивые к полеганию сорта со средней урожайностью 29,1 ц/га (+44 % к базовой), у которых линии регрессии урожайности имеют более крутой наклон -от 39° до 47°, что указывает на меньшую гомеостатичность урожайности. Эти сорта сильнее реагируют на улучшение и ухудшение условий среды по сравнению с сортами первой и второй групп. Сорта Стрела и Тюменская 80 местной селекции довольно стабильны по урожайности (S 2 di = 4,8-6,1). Среднеспелые интенсивные сорта, возделываемые в настоящее время, урожайность которых в среднем возросла до 34,3 ц/га (+70,0 % к базовой), очень чувствительны к изменениям условий среды, что подтверждается углом наклона линий регрессии (50°-54°, bi = 1,21-1,40). Пластичность характерна для сорта Чернява 13, имеющего пологую линию регрессии (угол наклона 29°, bi = 0,56).
