Genetic divergence analysis in chickpea germplasm

Abstract: A total of 434 germplasm lines of chickpea were assessed for 13 quantitative traits during rabi 2015-16 at JNKVV, Jabalpur. Genotypes were grouped into fourteen clusters. Clusters II and cluster XIV and cluster XII and cluster XIV, had maximum inter cluster distance. The characters viz.,effective pods per plant followed by biological yield per plant, plant height and 100-seed weight were main contribution to total divergence.
