Genetic determinants of response to the WEE1 inhibitor AZD1775 in ovarian cancer

Abstract

Precision medicine entails devising a tailored treatment strategy based on patient and tumor characteristics, to successfully eradicate the tumor. To precisely target a tumor, it is necessary to know and understand the biological mechanisms of the vulnerability of these tumors. In HGSOC, it is currently not clear which tumors respond to AZD1775 and what the biological mechanisms are that determine response. AimThe aim of this thesis is to identify genetic determinants of AZD1775 sensitivity in HGSOC, to allow for personalized treatment using AZD1775.
