Segmentat neurofibromatosis is a rare form of neurofibromatosis characterized by neurofibromas and/or 'cafe au luit" macules limited to one or more segment of the body. A case of segmental neurofibromatosis in an elderly patieni is presented. Classification and genetic counseling are discussed briefly with emphasis on the possibility that because it is benign this condition may not be given sufficient consideration.
