Abstract: Recurrence is almost inevitable in glioblastoma (GBM) patients even after aggressive multimodal therapies. Most recurrences occur at the resection margin that is outside GBM's contrast-enhancing region (C region) of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and always left behind after surgery.
