Abstract: Mammalian orthoreoviruses (MRVs) infect a wide range of hosts, including humans, livestock, and wildlife. In the present study, we isolated a novel Mammalian orthoreovirus from the intestine of a microbat ( Myotis aurascens ) and investigated its biological and pathological characteristics.
