Genetic analysis of recent Taiwanese isolates of a variant of coxsackievirus A24

Abstract: Epidemics of acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis (AHC) caused by a variant of coxsackievirus A24 (CA24v) reappeared in Taiwan in 1990 and 1994, following the first two epidemics of 1985--86 and 1988--89.
