Abstract: Reproductive-stage drought-stress is a major production constraint in rainfed rice ecosystem. Emergence of marker-assisted breeding strategies for developing drought-tolerant rice varieties are being optimized through exploiting adaptive-traits for their increased contribution towards grain-yield under recurring-drought.
