“…Synthesis of SBA-15 using an aqueous solution of the Pluronic copolymer P123 (E21P67E21), 2 M HCl and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) was executed step-by-step according to our previous method. 42–54 Loading of Pd NPs in SBA-15 pore channels was performed according to the abovementioned method.…”

“…Consequently reduction of immobilized Pd(II) using NaBH 4 produced SBA-15/ SH-Pd-NPs (32) with 0.05 mol% of Pd (Scheme 40). 88 This nanocatalyst was used in the synthesis of various biaryls via aerobic Suzuki coupling reaction using 0.5 mmol of TBAB (Scheme 41). The SBA-15/SH-Pd-NPs (32) catalyst easy removed from reaction mixture and reused 11 times with negligible leaching of Pd NPs.…”

“…The SBA-15/SH-Pd-NPs (32) catalyst easy removed from reaction mixture and reused 11 times with negligible leaching of Pd NPs. 88 Notably, Veisi and co-workers were able to synthesis SBA-15/ CCPy/Pd(II) (33) as a new heterogeneous catalyst for C-C coupling reactions (Scheme 42). 89 For preparation of this catalyst, cyanuric chloride (CC) was covalently immobilized on the surface of NH 2 -SBA-15.…”

“…Although, various transition metals have been utilized to catalyze the aforementioned cross-coupling reactions, palladium based-catalysts have been applied more extensively due to their good catalytic activities and selectivity [8]. Among these transformations, Suzuki-Miyaura reaction is one of the most effective cross-coupling yielding sp2-sp2 carbon-carbon bond formation [9]. Suzuki-Miyaura reactions are traditionally achieved in homogeneous systems under basic conditions at high reaction temperatures.…”
