Generation of constituent matrices

Abstract

SUMMARYA simple method is outlined for evaluating the residues in a partial fraction expansion when multiple roots are present. Its application along with Frame's algorithm leads to an efficient scheme for the generation of the constituent matrices when multiple eigenvalues are present.
