Abstract:BACKGROUND
Sexual and gender minority youth (SGMY; e.g., lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender youth) are at greater risk than their cisgender heterosexual peers for adolescent
relationship abuse (ARA; physical, sexual, or psychological abuse in a romantic relationship).
