Generalized Regression Neural Network Based Expert System for Hepatitis B Diagnosis

Abstract: Hepatitis B is a potentially life-threatening liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus. The virus interferes with the function of the liver while replicating in hepatocytes. It is a major global health problem and the most serious type of viral hepatitis. Chronic liver disease is caused by viral hepatitis and putting people at high risk of death from cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer. Medical information available is extensive and which is utilized by the clinical specialists. The ranging of infor… Show more

“…Hepatitis B is primarily found in the liver. Researches have been done through methods for diagnosis of hepatitis [3,4,5]. Bayesian approaches are successfully applied to a variety of problems [6,7,8]; recently, several studies have been conducted and have focused on medical diagnosis.…”

“…Sattayatham and Talangtam (2012) found the infinite mixture Lognormal distributions for reducing the problem of the number of components and fitting of truncated and/or censored data. Recently, There are many researchers have applied in various field such as Mahesh et al (2014) proposed a generalized regression neural network for the diagnosis of the hepatitis B virus diease and Biswas et al (2014) used the networks of the present day communication systems, frequently flood or water logging, sudden failure of one or few nodes in generalized real time multigraphs.…”

“…The SDSP learning mechanism is used to develop the network changes being observed in connection weights that extracts the spatio-temporal spike data clusters during both the levels of training and recall. An expert system called the generalized regression neural network was presented (Mahesh et al, 2014) for the diagnosis of hepatitis B virus related diseases.…”
