“…Drugs from the class of Renin‐Angiotensin‐Aldosterone System inhibitors (diuretics, angiotensin II receptor typ 1 blockers and angiotensin‐converting enzyme blockers) were also found to lead to LDE in a total of 12 reports (3.7%) 77,92–98 . Single cases of LDE were caused by other drugs given for cardiovascular diseases (antiplatelet agents, antisympathotonics, prostaglandin, nicotinamide and antiarrhythmics) in a total of 15 (4.6%) cases there of eight cases (2.5%) were caused by dilitiazem 99–111 …”

[99][100][101][102][103][104][105][106][107][108][109][110][111] Furthermore, six cases (1.9%) of LDE induced by gout medications (uricostatics and alkaloids) were identified. [112][113][114] Also, vaccines have been reported to cause LDE in a total of 8 (2.5%) cases (hepatitis A/B, influenza, herpes zoster, human papillomavirus) [115][116][117][118][119] Four cases (1.24%) of Capecitabine-induced LDE were reported.…”

“…Thus, we think that in our patient lichen planus had begun twenty years ago but tended to be chronic, with fluctuations in signs and symptoms over time. Moreover, in our opinion, medications of the patient, which were metoprolol, acetylsalicylic acid and clopidogrel might have played a role in aggravating the condition, since these drugs are potential triggers for lichen planus [1,9,10]. On the other hand, the main limitation of our case report is that, we could not prove the diagnosis of lichen planus with histopathology.…”

“…Sufficient evidence exists to support the thesis that betablockers, methyldopa, penicillamine, quinidine and quinine may play a pathogenic role and are potential triggers of the disease [7]. Given the available epidemiologic evidence, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs could also be considered as a potential causative agents [1,11].…”
