Abstract:By profiling enhancers in primary ependymoma tumors, we have recently identified putative oncogenes, molecular targets, and functional pathways. Inhibition of selected targets diminished the proliferation of patient-derived neurospheres and increased survival in mouse models of ependymoma. While enhancers frequently regulate the nearest gene, unambiguous identification of enhancer target genes remains to be a challenge in the absence of chromosome conformation information. Consequently, we have now used HiC to… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
