Gender Audit

Abstract: The term gender refers to the cultural, social, economical, historical, and designation of roles of men and women with associated power differential implications that span across institutions, families, legal and religious systems, and beliefs. Gender itself is a social construct, hence gender audit assesses socially constructed gender stratification gaps including policies, service provision, data collection, coordination, and monitoring of structures that limit the participation of women.
