The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of corporate governance behaviors on audit report lag. The lag of audit reports concerns investors and other parties. Therefore, it can affect the firm value of the enterprises. For this aim, 30 companies operating in İstanbul Stock Exchange (BIST) were used in this study. The data of the firms are taken from the independent audit reports. As the audit report lag, the difference between December 31 and of the date when companies announced their report was taken. In this study, we used the proportion of non-executive directors to total number of board, total assets, share of the largest shareholder and free float rate as corporate governance attributes. Findings of this study was based on the used system dynamic panel method. As a result, it was concluded that the corporate governance behaviors of the firms were not effective on the audit report lags of the firms.

Many empirical studies have been conducted to analyse the relationship between public spending and economic growth. In the literature review for the analysis of this relationship, the studies are concentrated around Keynes and Wagner Hypothesis. Wagner argues that this relationship is from economic growth to public expenditures while Keynes argues that it is from public expenditures to economic growth. In this study, Keynes's hypothesis is examined through the use ofthe variables of economic growth, public expenditures, inflation and unemployment for some OECD member countries. The findings performed with the panel unit root and panel cointegration tests under the cross-sectional dependency in the analyses are as follows. The variables that make up the study are cointegrated among themselves. In the long-term analysis, a significant relationship was not obtained, which indicates that public expenditures and inflation affect economic growth. It is concluded that unemployment negatively affects economic growth. In the short run, it was found that both public expenditures and inflation positively affected economic growth, while unemployment had a negative effect. In the study, it is concluded that the Keynes Hypothesis is valid for DEU, CZE, GBR, HUN and SVK, but not valid for BEL, FIN and IRL.

In this study, the relationship between types of government spending (current, investment, interest, transfer), and gross domestic product are analyzed using the data for the period 1975-2015 in Turkey. According to the ARDL cointegration method, there is no long-term relationship between the variables. Then, the short-term relationship between variables was examined by VAR model, Toda-Yamamoto (TY) and Hacker-Hatemi J causality tests. According to VAR model, the most important variable explaining the GDP is interest expenditures. According to the TY and Hacker-Hatemi J causality tests, the causality was determined from interest expenditures to GDP, and from the GDP to interest expenditures, respectively.
