Abstract: The most frequent complication of diabetes mellitus (DM) is diabetic ulcer, with a prevalence of 15-20% and an amputation rate of 30%. There is no effective and easy-to-apply treatment for acute-phase open wounds of patients with DM to prevent their development into ulcers.
