Gauge equivalence of Tachyon solutions in the cubic Neveu—Schwarz string field theory

Abstract: Simple analytic solution to cubic Neveu-Schwarz String Field Theory including the GSO(−) sector is presented. This solution is an analog of the Erler-Schnabl solution for bosonic case and one of the authors solution for the pure GSO(+) case. Gauge transformations of the new solution to others known solutions for the N S string tachyon condensation are constructed explicitly. This gauge equivalence manifestly supports the early observed fact that these solutions have the same value of the action density.

“…This result has been extended for the case of cubic superstring field theory [11], namely, a one-parameter family of solutions has been found which interpolates between an identity based solution and the Gorbachev's tachyon vacuum solution [7]. Motivated by the above results, and the recently discovered Erler's half brane solution [18] in cubic superstring field theory, in this paper, starting with the identity based solution [9,12,19,20]…”

“…In the framework of the modified cubic superstring field theory [25], the analytic construction of the tachyon vacuum solution was analyzed by Erler [26]. Using the KBcγ subalgebra introduced in [27,28], many gauge equivalent tachyon vacuum solutions [29,30,31,32,33] have been proposed and the computation of the energy associated to these solutions was performed giving results in agreement with Sen's conjecture. The analysis of multibrane solutions has been given in a set of two papers [34,35].…”

“…Since these two theories have a similar cubic-like interaction term and the string field products are based on Witten's associative star product [26], the bosonic results admit quite straightforward extensions to the superstring case [27,28,29,30,31]. For instance, the KBc subalgebra can be extended to the KBcγ subalgebra which includes the superstring ghost field γ [32,33,34,35]. Using this subalgebra, we have studied the multi-brane solutions in the context of the modified cubic superstring field theory [36].…”
