[11][12][13][14][15][16][17] After the death from Clostridium sordellii sepsis of a 23-year-old man who had received a cadaveric musculoskeletal allograft, 8 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) enhanced its efforts to find cases of allograft-associated clostridium infections and conducted an investigation of the processing and testing methods used by the tissue bank (hereafter referred to as Tissue Bank A) that had processed this patient's allograft.
