Abstract:Gas chromatography-negative chemical ionization mass spectrometry (GC-NCIMS) has been applied to the analysis of 0-and S-glucuronides. The glucuronides were derivatized with pentafluorobenzyl (PFB) bromide and Tri-Sil, and analyzed by GC-NCIMS. All glucuronides gave a large [M-PFBI-ion indicative of the molecular weight of the compound. This methodology has been successfully applied to the identification of a glucuronide of unknown structure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
