Game Theory Based Security in Wireless Body Area Network with Stackelberg Security Equilibrium

Abstract: Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is effectively used in healthcare to increase the value of the patient's life and also the value of healthcare services. The biosensor based approach in medical care system makes it difficult to respond to the patients with minimal response time. The medical care unit does not deploy the accessing of ubiquitous broadband connections full time and hence the level of security will not be high always. The security issue also arises in monitoring the user body function records. Mo… Show more

“…The tracking of a user's biological processes also raises security problems. As a more secure way to access patient data on WBAN, Somasundaram and Sivakumar 3 recommends Game Theory with Stackelberg Security Equilibrium (GTSSE). The purpose of the power and authority was first to oversee the patients.…”

“…To maintain the rising transmission reliability demands of WBANs, the cohabitation problem has undergone extensive research. Several studies [2][3][4] have been done on the performance degradation of WBANs in diverse environments. However, these studies only measure performance and do not provide useful detection or coexistence prediction schemes.…”

“…However, when compared to the state-of-the-art works, the security is comparatively better than the two other methods because the proposed GTSSE mechanism uses organizer decision in WBAN and handles the information through game theory approach. So, the security is improved by 7.89% when compared to SWS-HM and 26.95% compared to BGKM, respectively [ 48 ].…”

“…Experiments are being carried out using the proposed approach on features like the security ratio considering health information about the patient, level of system flexibility, energy consumption rate and information loss rate. SSE (Stackelberg Security Equilibrium) is reported to enhance the power of the solution by yielding decreased security [16].…”
