Galvanic corrosion behavior of NiC filled conductive silicone rubber coupled to AZ31 magnesium alloys

Abstract: The galvanic corrosion behaviors of Ni-C filled conductive silicon rubber (CSR) with different resistivity coupled to magnesium alloys were investigated in 3.5% sodium chloride solution at different temperatures. Such investigations were carried out by means of electrochemical measurement, weight-loss determination, and surface characterization.
