Abstract:The decarboxylative oxygenation of readily available carboxylic acids has been accomplished through visible light using g‐C3N4 as a robust and recyclable catalyst. The scalable protocol furnishes an array of precious aldehydes and ketones under mild reaction conditions, requiring only molecular oxygen as an oxidant. Notably, no addition of stochiometric amounts of base is required, and furthermore, the reaction proceeds efficiently open to the air.
