G-BDP-ADC Model for Effectiveness Evaluation of Low Orbit Satellite Communication System in the Context of Poor Information

Abstract: Effectiveness evaluation of LEO satellite communication system can not only guide the optimization of constellation program, but also play an important role in the stage of system design. In order to ensure the accuracy of the evaluation results, it is necessary to consider the impact of uncertain information on effectiveness evaluation, whether it is due to poor information or complex system. In order to solve this problem, this paper introduces birth and death process into satellite communication system.Firstl… Show more

“…In response to the improvement of the ADC model, Shao established the Gray-Birth-Death Process ADC (G-BDP-ADC) model using the gray theory and weight distribution model, which solved the problem of evaluating the effectiveness of the LEO satellite communication system [8]. Pirzadeh and Swindlehurst studied the effectiveness of the hybrid ADC model on how to overcome the channel estimation error caused by coarse quantization [9].…”

“…It is well known that the higher the accuracy of the model, the more accurate the effectiveness evaluation, and the more consistent it is with the real situation. At present, there are several effectiveness evaluation methods, such as the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) [7,9,10], ADC (availability, dependability, capability) model [11][12][13], fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method [14][15][16][17], grey evaluation method [18], neural network method [8,19], and so on. It is worth noting that all of the abovementioned effectiveness evaluation methods, except the neural network method, have the following two shortcomings.…”

“…Many scholars have performed relevant research and proposed evaluation methods and ideas for communication systems under different tasks and application scenarios. Some effective and typical evaluation methods and models can be summarized as follows: generalized index method; principal component analysis method [ 20 , 21 ]; analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method [ 22 , 23 ]; fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method [ 24 , 25 , 26 ]; grey correlation analysis evaluation method [ 27 ]; neural network [ 28 , 29 , 30 ]; and ADC method [ 31 ]. These methods have certain effects on effectiveness evaluation and are usually used with different synthetic strategies to solve different types of problems.…”
