Abstract:We propose a simple, computationally efficient scheme for an X-ray spectrum simulator. The theoretical models describing the physical processes involved are employed in our Monte Carlo software in a coherent way, paving the way for straightforward future improvements. Our results compare satisfactorily to experimental results from literature and to results from dedicated simulation software. The simplicity, excellent statistical errors, and short execution time of our code recommend it for intensive use in X-r… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
