Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method of Masonry Structure Safety Based on Grey Clustering Theory

Abstract: A comprehensive method for quantitatively appraising the safety rating of masonry structure is proposed which is able to reflect the difference in the same safety level. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy theory, and the grey clustering theory were applied based on the fuzzy-grey characteristics and the structural safety factors of the building system. A four-layer safety evaluation model of masonry structure considering its structural features was established by using AHP method and a three-level fuz… Show more

“…And these factors that may influence recruitment are complex and variable, moreover the information of these factors are small and uncertain. Gray clustering theory provides a methodology basis to solve the question with small amount of data and uncertain information, which is in line with the qualitative characteristics of enterprise talent recruitment evaluation index (Lin et al, 2018; Ming-Yuan, 2012). In this paper, we use the grayness to characterize the interval gray number from a practical situation, and construct a gray clustering model with the observed values and the possible degree function turning points as the interval gray number by using the improved interval gray number algorithm as the theoretical basis.…”

“…Quantitative microbial risk assessment techniques (Pujol et al, 2013) Semi-quantitative risk determination approach (Pazhayattil et al, 2020) Integrated evaluation methods combining qualitative and quantitative methods Analytic hierarchy process (Ishizaka et al, 2011;Lyu et al, 2020) When there are too many risk factors affecting drug safety, it is easy to cause confusion in the scale and too many qualitative components are not convincing Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method (Li et al, 2016;Lin et al, 2018;Zhang et al, 2021) The calculation is complex and the determination of the indicator weight vector is highly subjective Dempster-shafer evidence theory (Brodzik and Enders, 2009;Dempster, 1967;Wang et al, 2002) It is required that the factors affecting drug production safety are independent and are prone to exponential explosions during calculation Analytic Network Process (Ceric et al, 2013;Kop et al, 2011;Shafiee et al, 2019;Stepchenko and Voronova, 2015;Wang et al, 2018;Yazdani et al, 2019) Combine with process analysis method (Neum€ uller et al, 2015) Analytic Network Process takes into account the interaction between different levels and the interaction between the same level on the basis of the analytic hierarchy process, but it often encounters the problem of uncertain information in the process of risk assessment Combine with interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy environment (Yang et al, 2020) Combine with triangular fuzzy numbers (Balogun et al, 2021) Grey system theory (Deng, 2008;Li and Wei, 2018;Liu et al, 2009Liu et al, , 2013aOzcan and Tuysuz, 2016) Often used in situations with incomplete information or low data quality The remainder of the paper is organized as follows: Section 3 investigates research methodologies for establishing the drug production safety risk evaluation index system, calculating index weights and determining grey evaluation matrix. Section 4 conducts an empirical study for a drug production enterprise, carrying out numerical analysis and results and examining the validity of the proposed gray network an...…”

“…Grey system theory has been widely used in industry, agriculture, transportation, environment, economy and other fields, which has successfully solved a large number of practical problems in production and life (Liu et al , 2009, 2013a). Among the most widely used safety risk evaluation methods are integrated evaluation methods combining qualitative and quantitative methods, such as analytic hierarchy process (Ishizaka et al , 2011; Lyu et al , 2020), fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method (Li et al , 2016; Lin et al , 2018; Zhang et al , 2021), Dempster–Shafer evidence theory (Brodzik and Enders, 2009; Dempster, 1967; Wang et al , 2002), etc. ANP is an extension of analytic hierarchy process, suitable for analyzing complex network structure relationships between elements and is widely used in decision analysis (Stepchenko and Voronova, 2015), risk assessment (Ceric et al , 2013; Kop et al , 2011; Shafiee et al , 2019; Wang et al , 2018; Yazdani et al , 2019) and other fields.…”

“…Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation is a famous method and has extensively been applied in many fields including wind farm investments, masonry structure safety, teaching performance, and landslide susceptibility (45)(46)(47)(48). It is able to help the researchers to find out the most important factors that should be prioritized by using mathematics.…”
