Fuzzy Clustering with Multi-Constraint QoS Service Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract: This paper presents a fuzzy logic-based, service differentiated, QoS aware routing protocol (FMSR) offering multipath routing for WSNs, with the purpose of providing a service differentiated path meant for communication between nodes, based on actual requirements. The proposed protocol initially forms a cluster by fuzzy c-means. Next, the building of a routing follows, so as to establish multiple paths between nodes through the modified QoS k-nearest neighborhood, based on different QoS constraints and on opti… Show more

“…Since only a complete end-to-end path is a solution in the QoS routing calculation of OBS networks, it is an important problem to generate feasible solutions from some VOLUME 10, 2022 solutions (including infeasible solutions) by iterative optimization [12], [13]. Our idea is to first use the Dijkstra algorithm to generate a set of initial complete paths according to the changing weight combination, and generate new paths through the appropriate crossover and mutation operation in the genetic algorithm.…”

“…Furthermore, Agarkhed et al 30 proposed a fuzzy clustering method and a multi-constraint QoS service routing protocol in wireless sensor networks. The QoS aware routing protocol creates routes with various paths for WSNs, aiming at provision of a differentiated service path based on genuine prerequisites planned for in-between nodes communication.…”

“…Then, based on "different QoS constraints and optimum shortest paths, multiple paths between nodes through the modified QoS k-nearest neighbourhood are established." 30 The nodes in the paths can die owing to the absence of lingering energy, bandwidth, packet loss, or delay. To this end, a neighborhood node opts for the purpose of communication.…”
