Fuzzy approach to assessing the index of the level of ecological civilization of the country

Abstract

This paper presents a method for assessing the level of ecological civilization index (ECLI), which is one of the main problems of the current decade. This concept is a paradigm of sustainable development and covers economic, social and environmental performance. There are different approaches to assessing ECLI indicators. In this paper, we have focused on 25 specific indicators covering sub-indices of green economy quality, social and environmental quality. In order to obtain a globally comparable composite index, we have tried to identify indicators that have a significant impact on ECLI and are the most relevant. In addition, an ECLI calculation algorithm has been developed, based mainly on intuitionistic fuzzy methods.
