“…The VBC/DVB copolymers was swollen in dioxane (1:10 v/v) for 24 h and then chloromethyl groups of copolymer were aminolysed with ethylenediamine (ETDA) in dioxane solution (12:1 mol/mol at room temperature for 168 h -anion exchanger 1). Anion exchanger 2 with amino groups was obtained by treatment with urotropine according to [28]. The amino groups were condensated with aldehyde groups of salicylaldehyde (A) or picolinaldehyde (B) in Water regain was measured using a centrifugation technique.…”

“…A hydrophilic oxine resin with enhanced copper ion exchange capacity has been synthesized from alkylated poly(benzylamine) and 5-chloromethyl-8-hydroxyquinoline. 14 The electronic and EPR studies on Spheron-1000 shows a 2 : 1 mol ratio for Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes. In continuation of our research in polymer-metal complexes, 15,16 the present investigation deals with the synthesis, characterization and thermal property of new poly(8-hydroxy-4-azoquinolinephenylmethacrylate) and its Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes.…”

“…Practically, it solves the problem of sterilization of products and allows one to fabricate a pure product, not contaminated with residual toxic matters. Radiation polymerization studies on preparing hydrogels include the mechanism of reaction, kinetics, and structure 11–14. In previous work, the preparation of a hydrogel based on acrylic acid and trithioglycolic acid by radiation polymerization, and its application in the recovery of metal ions, was reported 15.…”
