In recent years, the surge in car theft cases, often linked to illicit activities, has become a growing concern. Simultaneously, countries grappling with oil shortages have shifted towards converting vehicles to run on liquid propane gas, presenting new safety challenges for car owners. This paper introduces a novel integrated intelligent system designed to address the challenges of car theft and safety concerns associated with gas-based vehicles. By seamlessly integrating these concerns into a single system, it aims to achieve significantly improved performance compared to traditional alarm systems. The proposed system consists of three primary parts: the car security subsystem, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based real-time car tracking subsystem, and the car safety subsystem. Utilizing key technologies such as the Arduino Microcontroller, Bluetooth module, vibration sensor, keypad, solenoid lock, GSM module, NodeMCU microcontroller, GPS module, MQ-4 gas sensor, flame sensor, temperature sensor, and Bluetooth module, the system aims to provide a comprehensive solution for the mentioned issues. Furthermore, the vibration sensor plays a crucial role in identifying unauthorized vehicle operations. Its significance lies in detecting the vibrations emanating from the running engine. Concurrently, other modules and sensors are utilized for real-time tracking and enhancing vehicle safety. These measures include safeguarding against incidents like fire outbreaks or gas leaks within the gas container. Finally, after assembling the system, a practical test was conducted, yielding favourable performance results. This paper describes a meaningful step towards improving the protection and safety for the cars, simultaneously addressing the stealing prevention and gas-related accident alleviation.

This experimental study investigates the performance of Lead Acid Battery driven Electric Rickshaws (E-Rickshaws) enhanced with a Capacitor Bank. With a growing demand for sustainable urban transportation solutions, E-Rickshaws have emerged as a promising option. However, challenges such as limited battery life and variable performance under different load conditions persist. In this research, we explore the application of a Capacitor Bank circuitry to mitigate these challenges. The study involves a series of performance tests conducted on E-Rickshaws equipped with the proposed hardware model. Key parameters, including charging current, charging time, and discharging current under varying load conditions, are rigorously analyzed. Our experimental results reveal substantial improvements in E-Rickshaw performance when compared to conventional Lead Acid Battery-driven models. Notably, reductions in starting current and minimized power fluctuations, especially under full load conditions, lead to a smoother and more efficient driving experience. Crucially, the extended battery life resulting from these hardware enhancements demonstrates the economic viability of the modified E-Rickshaw prototype. This research contributes valuable insights into the sustainable transformation of urban transportation, with implications for both performance optimization and economic feasibility in the E-Rickshaw industry.

Energy security indicators for sustainable energy development: Application to electricity sector in the context of state economic decisions

This paper discusses the interlinkages between energy security indicators and government economic interventions in the electricity sector. The research was carried out using a systematic literature review and comparative analysis and was mainly based on qualitative criteria. Following a literature review and data analysis, the paper identifies 65 energy security indicators (from over 300 possible indicators) that are relevant for the electricity sector. The work also highlights the indicators of energy security on which the state's economic decisions have a direct and indirect effect. This is the basis of the scientific novelty and relevance of this study. The paper highlights the role of public economic policy in the domain of energy security (including energy supply, reliability and affordability). This research helps to show how different parts of energy safety in the electricity field are connected. It shows how government economic choices can have both direct and indirect effects on energy outcomes, helping us understand the complex ways policies and energy results relate to each other. The paper argues that state interventions in areas such as public support for promotion of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency gains, and energy price regulation exert a significant effect on energy security in the electricity sector. The paper also examines the theoretical issues underpinning the definition, dimensions and assessment of energy security. Possible trade‐offs between economic growth and energy security are discussed drawing attention to the importance of a balanced approach to formulation of economic policy. The study also argues that state economic decisions play a crucial role in shaping energy security in the electricity sector and stresses the topicality of a better ability to fathom the potential outcomes of these decisions. The comprehensive analysis of 65 energy security indicators presented in this paper gives valuable insights for both analysts and decision makers. The analysis confirms the importance of a nuanced approach in measuring and combining these indicators into policymaking (for governments, industry leaders, scientists, researchers, NGOs) to enhance the overall effectiveness and sustainability of energy security policies in the electricity sector. The findings suggest that policies promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency and diversification are key to achieving a stable and sustainable electricity supply, urging further research incorporating dynamic models and data analytics for comprehensive energy security strategies.
