Abstract:Changes in cell shape are central to development and disease. To systematically dissect the temporal‐spatial control of cellular processes in morphogenetic programs, we are applying functional genomic and in vivo genetic approaches in Drosophila. Specifically, we are investigating developmental mechanisms that spatially regulate specific lipid signals that mediate cellular elongation and underlie human diseases. The localized regulation of interrelated but distinct forms of phosphoinositide phosphates (PIPs) s… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
