Full-disk synoptic observations of the chromosphere using Hα telescope at the Kodaikanal Observatory

Abstract: This paper reports on the installation and observations of a new solar telescope installed on 7th October, 2014 at the Kodaikanal Observatory. The telescope is a refractive type equipped with a tunable Lyot H α filter. A CCD camera of 2k×2k size makes the image of the Sun with a pixel size of 1.21 pixel −1 with a full field-of-view of 41 .
