Full Analytical Topology-Device Selection and Multi-objective Optimization of a 27 kVA Aircraft Inverter

Abstract: This paper demonstrates a topology-device selection and multi-objective optimization tool for a 350 V dc, 27 kVA aircraft inverter system. The design space is generated with the topology-device combination as the primary variable and the switching frequency as the secondary variable, which considers two-level vs. three-level topologies and Silicon (Si) vs. Silicon Carbide (SiC) devices.
