Surface segregation of carboxylic acids in styrene-butadiene rubber — effect of the bloom on friction

“…Measurements were carried out with a FTIR instrument (BIO-RAD FTS 175C, Germany) equipped with IRS microscopic accessory (Split-Pea, Harrick Scientific, USA) at ambient temperature (T = 23 ± 1 • C). Spectra were collected with resolution of 4 cm −1 , every 1 min for 15 h. Detailed description of the blooming kinetics measurement procedure and calculation method was given in our previous work [19].…”
