“…Previous studies by Kawamura et al (15) and Kim et al (16), with sample sizes ranging from 125 to 856, have indicated that the type of endometrial preparation has no statistically significant effect on the clinical outcome of FET. By contrast, Cardenas Armas et al (17), Morozov et al (12), Orvieto et al (18), and Chang et al (19), with sample sizes ranging from 242 to 1,097, have suggested the NC provides clinical outcomes than HT. Our results with a larger sample size are consistent with those of Cardenas Armas et al (17).…”

Notably, our is the largest Chinese study of its kind and has great value for the large population base of the People's Republic of China now that the two-child policy is being opened up.…”

“…Two large scale meta-analyses comparing different cycle regimens of FET failed to show a superiority of one approach over the others in terms of reproductive outcomes, however, the majority of studies included were often of a low or very low quality of evidence as most were retrospective nature with limited sample size, and some fail to report important clinical outcomes, or had a poor reporting of study methods [6,16]. A retrospective cohort study of 1265 cycles revealed that the implantation rate was signi cantly higher in NC, while there were no signi cant differences between the groups in the clinical pregnancy, ongoing pregnancy, live birth, and miscarriages rate [17]. El-Toukhy T and coworkers conducted a prospective randomized trial of 234 patients and found that using GnRH-a prior to exogenous steroid supplementation for endometrial preparation achieved signi cantly higher clinical pregnancy (24% vs 11.3%, OR 2.5, 95%CI 1.2-5.5) and live birth rates (20% vs 8.5%, OR 2.9, 95%CI 1.2-8).…”
