Front-to-Back Ratio Enhancement of an Aperture-stacked patch antenna by an Improved circular slots and New Reflector element

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate an aperture-stacked patch microstrip antenna with three slots in a circular shape that feeds the antenna in order to have an improvement in its performance. The structure optimized and analyzed in this study has an upper substrate of foam dielectric material with a thickness of 0.254 mm and a dielectric constant of 1, a lower substrate of rogers RT3003 with a thickness of 0.5 mm and a loss tangent of 0.001.
