From Pharmacognosia to DNA-Based Medicinal Plant Authentication – Pharmacognosy through the Centuries

Abstract: For centuries, pharmacognosy was essential for the identification, quality, purity, and, until the end of the 18th century, even for the efficacy of medicinal plants.
