From “Informal Club” to “Authoritative Voice”: The Progression of CHSS to Become the Face of Congenital Heart Surgery

Abstract:This article reviews the transformation of the Congenital Heart Surgeons’ Society from an informal organization to become the leading authority in congenital heart surgery. By advocating for public reporting of patient outcomes, education, and research CHSS is now recognized as the premier organization for advancing the science and practice of congenital heart surgery.
